This Privacy Policy explains how GST Excel Mastery ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use the GST billing and accounting software available at https://app.gstexcelmastery.in (the "Service").

(a) Account information — your name, email address, mobile number, password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form), user role, and subscription plan details.
(b) Business information you enter — company name, GSTIN, registered address, state, bank details you choose to store, logo, and financial year settings.
(c) Transaction data you create — sales invoices, purchase entries, ledgers, party (customer and supplier) details including their names, addresses and GSTINs, item and stock records, payments, receipts, journal vouchers and related accounting records.
(d) Payment information — subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive only a payment reference, order identifier, amount and status. We never receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials.
(e) Technical information — IP address, browser type, login timestamps, and activity logs (which record who changed which record and when) used for security and audit purposes.
When you enter details of your own customers, suppliers or staff into the Service, you decide what is collected and why. In the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you act as the Data Fiduciary for that information and we act as a Data Processor on your instructions.
We process that data only to operate the Service for you. We do not use it for our own purposes, do not sell it, and do not share it with anyone except as described in Section 5. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the third-party data you enter.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your business or transaction data for advertising.

We do not share your data with any other third party without your consent.
Your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider. We take reasonable steps to keep data within India where our hosting configuration permits.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We work to protect your information but cannot promise absolute security.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or your subscription lapses, we retain your data for a reasonable period so that you can recover it, after which it may be deleted. Some records may be kept longer where retention is required by tax or other law.

The Service is intended for businesses and for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified by email where reasonably possible.
